The Alabaster Police Department is seeking APOST-certified officers who demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, teamwork, and a strong desire to serve.

Annual Compensation: $64,680–$89,552 Based on experience and includes holiday pay. Exceptional Benefits Competitive compensation: Merit step increases and cost-of-living adjustments as approved by City Council. Work schedule: 12-hour shifts with 84-hour pay periods and every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Paid time off: 13 paid leave days annually, plus vacation and sick leave.

Insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama medical, dental, and vision coverage, with the City paying 90% of the premium. VSP vision insurance 100% paid by the city.
