Lay Up Technician

Job Summary

Lay-Up Technician is a hands-on role, whose primary responsibility is performing a wide variety of composite layup, vacuum bagging, mold inspection and leak checks. This role ensures adherence to strict quality standards by following engineered specifications, work instructions, lay-up schemes to successfully yield a conforming product.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities: o Perform hand layup of composite materials, including prepregs, fabrics, adhesives, and films to assemble multi-piece and complex molds to yield conforming composite structures o Preparation of molds and tools for layup process, to include application of sealants and release agents o Ensure proper fiber orientation, ply sequence, material placement, and part configuration o Perform vacuum
