Position Overview
Three Notch Group is seeking a Field Services Technician to support Underground Storage Tank (UST), Environmental, and Geotechnical projects through a variety of field-based activities. This role performs hands-on work associated with drill-rig operations, monitoring-well installations, groundwater sampling, compliance testing, and other field services that help ensure successful project execution.
The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, traveling to project sites, and contributing to a team-focused environment. This position offers opportunities to develop technical skills, obtain certifications, and gain experience across several environmental and field-services disciplines. Primary Responsibilities Represent Three Notch Group professionally when interacting with clients, contractors, and the public.
Maintain a professional appearance and foster positive working relationships with contractors and project stakeholders. Perform physical activities associated with drill-rig operations and monitoring-well installations. Conduct groundwater-sampling activities under the direction of senior technical personnel. Perform physical activities associated with environmental, compliance, and field-testing projects.
Operate construction equipment, field tools, company vehicles, and other equipment required to support project activities. Support UST, Environmental, Geotechnical, and other field-service projects through data collection and field observations. Perform assigned work in compliance with company safety requirements, project procedures, and applicable regulations.
Maintain equipment, vehicles, and supplies in safe and proper working condition. Accurately document field activities and communicate project information to supervisors and team members. Manage time effectively to complete assignments within project schedules and budgets. Participate in assigned training, certifications, and professional-development activities.
Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned. The Field Services Technician will represent the company well in the field, follow safety requirements, support project schedules, and contribute reliable data and observations that support project success.
The successful candidate will demonstrate dependability, a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. They will continue developing technical skills, equipment knowledge, certifications, and field experience while contributing positively to clients, coworkers, and project teams.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license required. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred or ability to obtain within six months of employment. Willingness and ability to travel overnight on a regular basis. Basic familiarity with hand tools and field equipment. Ability to operate skid-steer equipment and other construction-related equipment preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and demanding field environments. Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform other physically demanding activities. Ability to work near moving machinery, in loud environments, and around fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and other field conditions.
