Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Overview

Bane-Welker Equipment is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract, engage, and hire talented individuals who align with our guiding principles of Trust, Teamwork, Thrive, and Excellence. This role manages the recruiting process from initial outreach through hiring while building relationships that support our future workforce needs.

A major focus is connecting with high schools, colleges, technical schools, and community organizations to introduce students and job seekers to careers in the agricultural equipment industry. Through career fairs, school events, and community outreach, this position will help develop the next generation of talent for Bane-Welker.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, connecting people with opportunities, and finding creative ways to attract talent. Principal Responsibilities Manage the recruiting process: Coordinate recruiting activities from candidate sourcing and interviews through job offers and the transition to employment, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Build relationships with schools and communities: Regularly attend career fairs, school events, classroom presentations, and community activities to promote Bane-Welker career opportunities, apprenticeships, and internships. Develop future talent: Build relationships with educators, school counselors, technical programs, and workforce organizations to create long-term talent pipelines, particularly for technician and skilled trades positions.

Partner with hiring managers: Work with hiring managers and Territory General Managers (TGMs) to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and identify qualified candidates. Attract and engage candidates: Use job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and other creative approaches to connect with potential employees.

Coordinate candidate assessments and interviews: Facilitate interviews, administer Predictive Index (PI) assessments, and support consistent, effective hiring decisions. Manage offers and hiring processes: Communicate employment offers, explain compensation and benefits, address candidate concerns, and coordinate hiring documentation with the HR team.

Maintain recruiting systems and compliance: Manage candidate information in Paycor Recruiting and follow applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

of Position Experience in recruiting, human resources, education outreach, relationship management, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with students, candidates, educators, and business leaders. Interest in building relationships and developing talent pipelines through school and community partnerships.

Willingness to travel to career fairs, school events, and Bane-Welker locations as needed. Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to attracting talent. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems; Paycor Recruiting experience is a plus.
