Middle School English/ Language Arts

Position: Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher School: Thomas A. Edison Jr./Sr. High School Position Summary: Thomas A. Edison Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a highly motivated Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher. The successful candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and communication while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

Valid Indiana teaching license or eligibility for appropriate licensure Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Commitment to collaboration, student growth, and building positive relationships Transition to Teaching candidates are encouraged to apply Responsibilities: Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards Monitor student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal The Board encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
