PART-TIME: STARTER MARSHAL Category: Part-Time Status: Open Salary: Min. $15.00-$15.75 Published: October 6, 2026 Closing: Until Filled DEFINITION To organize and direct the order of players at Bay Forest Golf Course. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives immediate supervision from Golf Course Manager and Assistant Professional.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Adheres to City attendance and punctuality policies demonstrating dependability. Adheres to all City safety policies (protective equipment, pre-duty precautions checklist, etc.) to prevent unnecessary or unreasonable risk of injury to self, others, or property. Adheres to department dress code policies to present a professional appearance.

Should exhibit appropriate grooming and attire for the position and responsibility. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Receive and execute starting tee times. Make appropriate pairings. Enforce all rules and regulations of play. Clean up trash around facilities. Mark Golf Course to enforce play.

Perform related duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS For indefinite periods of time - mobility within a field environment; exposure to toxic waste, chemical, dust/mites, and fume/odor hazards; exposure to extreme cold, heat, noise, and temperature swings; writing; walking; twisting body; stooping; standing; squatting; sorting; sitting; seeing; pushing and pulling up to 1200 pounds; lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds; kneeling; reading; decision making; reaching above shoulder level; using both hands for simple and firm grasping; clarity of hearing; communicating clearly and effectively, in person and by telephone; fine finger manipulation; operation of minor tools, and golf cart; operation of a motor vehicle through city traffic.

QUALIFICATIONS

Golf Course etiquette and regulations. Ability to: Work weekends, holiday, and weekdays. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Two years of experience playing golf, familiarity with Golf Course etiquette and standard rules, and a High School Diploma or GED.
