Maintenance/HVAC Tradesman

A 12 month, 8 hours per day, Maintenance/HVAC Tradesman position is available within the district. This position is responsible for the proper operation of all mechanical systems. The applicant will perform maintenance trade activity to maintain District property in good repair, and must be able to perform as crew leader when assigned tasks or projects that requires team efforts.

The applicant must demonstrate the ability to perform one or more of the following trades: General, Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, and Grounds. The successful candidate may be required to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications applicable to the job. Applicants must possess a High School diploma. Vocational training and advanced training per trade is preferred.

Five or more years of practical experience in a specific trade (or combined experience in several trades) is required. The applicant should have corrected hearing or vision within normal ranges. This position requires standing, crawling, walking, twisting, bending, sitting, pushing, kneeling, stooping, lifting, stretching, and working on a ladder.

The applicant must be capable of operating tools of the trade. A successful candidate must be available for on-call evening and weekend hours.
