Process Engineer Co-Op

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Process Engineer Co-Op (full-time Spring 2027 & Summer 2027). This position will be in Rolla, MO.

*Must be available to take a semester off from school and work 40 hours per week for the duration of the co-op. *Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. The majority of work will be performed at the Rolla facility, with occasional travel to the Vichy facility. Summary: Process Engineer Co-Ops evaluate, select, develop, and implement programs for product and process characterization, continuous product and process improvements, equipment design, and specific installation and implementation.

Responsibilities

Perform product and process characterization. Perform work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features that have precedents and require investigation of a limited scope. Complete assignments that usually include one or more of the following: testing of materials, preparation of workbook and process specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed.

May coordinate the work of technicians or others who assist in specific assignments. Maintain accurate records of data, procedures, experiments, tests, and findings for future reference with record retention, which may include the use of lab notebooks Analyze data and utilize to ensure continuous improvements in products, processes, and systems under the guidance of more experienced engineers or supervisor/manager.

Prepare regular periodic reports that summarize outcomes, process improvements, achievement, challenges, and roadblocks. Participate in process troubleshooting activities and propose solutions to operational challenges. Support the implementation of safety procedures and guidelines within the manufacturing facility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and product quality.

Learn and adhere to industry regulations and standards related to chemical manufacturing processes. Credentials and Education: Working toward a Bachelor's degree (B.
