The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of surgical case scheduling to ensure efficient patient care and operational workflow. This role prepares and processes surgical postings, verifies medical necessity, obtains required authorizations, schedules procedures, and communicates with patients, surgeons, and Surgical Services.

The Surgical Scheduler serves as a key liaison between physician offices and hospital departments, coordinates necessary equipment and vendor resources, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with confidentiality requirements while providing professional and courteous customer service.
