PR & Marketing Specialist

Overview

The PR & Marketing Specialist supports the development and execution of public relations and marketing communications initiatives that strengthen 84 Lumber's brand, increase visibility, and support business objectives. The candidate will have demonstrated success in the B2B space. Working closely with the Marketing team and other departments, the PR & Marketing Specialist helps tell 84 Lumber's story and ensures consistent, engaging messaging across multiple channels Responsibilities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.

Strong storytelling abilities with the competence to create clear, engaging content for multiple audiences. Understanding of public relations, marketing communications, and brand management. Strong organizational, time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Behavioral agility to modify daily routines, workflows, and task execution to align with new leadership initiatives as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and content management platforms. Professional, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Supervisory Responsibility No Work Environment Fast Paced Physical Demands None Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full time position.

Hours are 45+ per week Travel Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field. 5-7 years of experience in public relations, marketing communications or a related field. Experience with project management and team collaboration tools like Monday.

Experience writing press releases and external communications materials. Experience working in a variety of website content management systems. Experience coordinating multiple projects and collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Experience in the building materials, construction, or related industries is a plus.
