Job Title: Warehouse Lead

  • Leather Receiving Department
  • Warehouse Job Summary: Leads, trains and mentors, team members in the assigned warehouse area, supporting the warehouse management team.

Essential Functions

Perform the functions below when needed as well as assist in supervising other staff members As a working team member of the functional area, supports warehouse management as a team leader, mentor, and trainer. Lead and assign daily tasks and special assignments, as directed by management. Oversee putaway, and material handling ensuring accuracy and quality in the warehouse inventory processes.

As a working team member, oversee others in the proper, safe and efficient operations of all warehouse machinery. Ensures self and others maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. With management, oversees the maintenance of all warehouse equipment, to ensure equipment is safe, and properly maintained.

Promptly notify management of issues which may affect material receipts or shipments Lead team in good inventory management practices, for accuracy, and proper storage and handling of materials Monitor staff performance, lead team by example, with management assistance as required. In coordination with management, perform team training/cross-training and development.

Work with other warehouse areas, ensuring continuous material flow, proactively resolving issues, or involving management as needed. Takes personal responsibility for team; acts with self initiative with minimal guidance Assume additional responsibilities as needed. As warehouse lead, responsibilities may extend to other areas, as needed, for example support during extended hours or weekends.

This position reports to the Manager, Warehouse and may receive additional assignments from Management as required. This position typically involves contact with all levels of both internal and external personnel. Knowledge and Skills: Detail oriented Basic computer skills UPS World. Compensation

range for this role is $20.00 - $21.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
