Responsibilities

Prepare and cook daily meals according to established menus and recipes. Ensure all food is prepared, served, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations. Follow portion control and dietary guidelines as directed. Assist with food preparation, inventory, and kitchen organization. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.

Properly operate kitchen equipment and report maintenance concerns. Work efficiently during meal service while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff and facility personnel to meet residents' dietary needs. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

Required Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, healthcare facility, assisted living facility, or similar environment. Ability to prepare meals for multiple individuals in a fast-paced setting. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary requirements.

Reliable transportation and excellent attendance. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Experience in an assisted living, nursing home, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting. Food Handler or ServSafe Certification. Knowledge of special diets and nutritional meal preparation.
