Content Writer- English

Role Overview We are looking for a creative and academically strong Content Writer to develop engaging, age-appropriate and curriculum-aligned educational content for Pre-Primary and Primary learners . The candidate must have an exceptionally strong command of the English language , including grammar, vocabulary, sentence construction, comprehension and proofreading.

The role requires the ability to simplify concepts and create content that is clear, engaging and appropriate for young learners.

Key Responsibilities

Develop educational content for Pre-Primary and Primary grades , including textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, activity books and supplementary learning resources. Write clear, engaging and age-appropriate English content based on defined learning objectives. Develop stories, poems, passages, activities, exercises, questions and assessments for young learners.

Ensure high standards of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and sentence structure across all content. Edit, proofread and improve content for language accuracy, clarity, consistency and readability . Simplify complex concepts into child-friendly explanations and activities. Develop content according to curriculum, syllabus and grade-level requirements .

Conduct research and fact-check content before submission. Create activity-based, experiential and interactive learning content. Ensure progression of concepts and difficulty levels across grades. Work closely with editors, curriculum experts, designers and illustrators to develop effective learning resources. Provide clear briefs and references for illustrations, layouts and visual elements.

Review designed pages/PDFs to ensure content accuracy and correct placement. Incorporate feedback from reviewers and stakeholders within defined timelines. Maintain consistency in terminology, writing style and editorial standards across a series. Ensure content is original, plagiarism-free and academically accurate .

English Language Competency – Critical Requirement The candidate must demonstrate: Excellent written English Strong command of English grammar and syntax Excellent vocabulary and word usage Strong proofreading and editing skills Ability to identify grammatical and contextual errors independently Ability to write naturally for different age groups Strong understanding of sentence construction, punctuation and spelling Ability to simplify language without compromising accuracy Ability to adapt tone and vocabulary according to the learner's age Strong comprehension and creative-writing ability Candidates with average English-language proficiency will not be suitable for this role.

Pre-Primary Content Skills The candidate should be comfortable developing content related to: Phonics and early literacy Alphabet and vocabulary development Rhymes and stories Pre-writing and writing-readiness activities Picture-based learning Early numeracy and concept-building activities General awareness and environmental concepts Social-emotional and life-skills activities Play-based and activity-based learning Primary Content Skills The candidate should be able to develop: Reading and comprehension passages Grammar and vocabulary exercises Creative-writing activities Stories, poems and informational texts Concept explanations Worksheets and practice exercises MCQs, objective and subjective questions Application-based and competency-based questions Activities, projects and assessments Grade-appropriate learning outcomes Preferred Knowledge Understanding of NEP 2020, NCF and competency-based education Familiarity with CBSE/State Board/NCERT curriculum frameworks Understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy Experience in educational publishing or curriculum development Familiarity with Bloom's Taxonomy and learning outcomes Basic understanding of phonics and foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) Key Skills English Language Proficiency | Content Writing | Editing & Proofreading | Grammar | Creative Writing | Curriculum Development | Research | Storytelling | Worksheet Development | Assessment Creation | Age-Appropriate Writing | Attention to Detail Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is excellent with English, creative with content and meticulous about accuracy .
