Automotive Smog Technician

Job Overview Monarch Ford is seeking a skilled Automotive Smog Technician to join our service team. This position is responsible for performing smog inspections, emissions testing, and related repairs on cars and light trucks. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct smog inspections in compliance with state regulations
• Diagnose and repair emissions-related issues on vehicles
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment and hand tools
• Maintain equipment calibration for accurate testing
• Interpret data and technical documents
• Complete written work orders and service reports accurately
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Assist with scheduling and organizing workflow in the shop

Qualifications

• Valid Smog Technician License (required)
• Ford or equivalent OEM certifications are a plus
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
• Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and repair guides
• Customer service skills and a professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
