Vehicle/Equipment Repair Technician II (Hourly)

This employee will work within SCDNR's Vessel Operations Section at the Marine Resources Division (MRD).  Job Duties Include:  Operating main engines, generators, various pumps and motors, A/C units and hydraulic systems while underway.  Performing preventative maintenance on main diesel and generator engines, generator, hydraulics, electronics, deck gear, rigging and all State-issued equipment.

Operating cranes, winches and all heavy deck gear.   Instructing scientific party in the safe operation of winches.  Requisitioning and maintaining proper spare parts and filter inventory for engineering department on board.
