Paving and Surfacing Labourers

PAVING AND SURFACING LABOURERS We’re gearing up for the busy season and looking for multiple Paving and Surfacing Labourers starting in he coming weeks. On Offer: Days/Time of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00 pm -> Start and finish time may vary (night shift, weekend work as required and communicated by client) Pay: $26 - $35 per hour, depending on your skill set Permanent or temp to perm opportunity depending on candidate Up to $1,200 sign-up bonuses for NZ-based applicants Skills Required: At least 6 months of relevant experience in Paving and Surfacing or a relevant qualification Ability to pass a drug test and criminal record check Must have good communication skills Must be physically fit and own transportation Right to work in New Zealand (Work visa holders considered) Tasks Include: Spreading stone chips, gravel and cold-mix asphalt onto road surfaces Sprinkling and brushing hot and cold-mix asphalt over surfaces Operating tank-truck distributors and hoses to spray tar and road oils and emulsions Tripping tailgate levers to discharge hot-mix asphalt into paving machines Shoveling asphalt mix and compacting mix using rakes and hand tampers Cutting and trimming damaged surfaces using jack-hammers and softening edges with blowtorches NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
