You’ll help create meaningful experiences before and after school that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual growth - while gaining valuable skills for your future. Opportunities are available with Oconomowoc or Watertown Youth Development teams. Why this role stands out: Build your resume and gain hands-on experience in education, recreation, or youth services Opportunities for career growth and advancement (Assistant → Staff → Lead) Ideal for aspiring teachers, counselors, or youth development professionals No weekends or holidays required What You’ll Do Support and/or lead engaging before & after school programming Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all youth Plan and implement activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members Follow licensing standards and YMCA program guidelines Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development Positions & Growth Path We hire at multiple levels based on experience and qualifications: Staff Assistant – Entry-level, great for gaining experience Staff – More responsibility in activity planning and program facilitation Staff Lead – Leadership role overseeing program implementation and mentoring staff We’ll help meet you where you are—and grow you where you want to go.

Qualifications
