Staff Accountant I nland Empire,CA — 100% on-site Employment type: Full-time $26-$32/Hour, DOE About the company We are working with an established, fast-growing contract manufacturer of personal care, beauty, health, household, and pet products. We partner with national brands and major retailers to take products from idea to store shelf, producing thousands of active SKUs from our regulated manufacturing facilities.

The company has grown significantly, and we're building out our finance team to keep pace.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant owns core accounting work across the general ledger, accounts payable, financial reporting, and compliance, and supports accounts receivable and collections as needed. You'll get broad exposure to the full accounting cycle, regular interaction with senior finance leadership, and a clear path to grow as the team expands.

What you'll do

Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts as part of the monthly close Prepare the balance sheet, income statement, and supporting schedules for management Research discrepancies and variances, identify the root cause, and recommend corrective action Review and maintain AP general ledger coding in Concur, prepare and issue vendor payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships Support accounts receivable and collections, including payment follow-up and account reconciliation Audit supporting documentation in preparation for internal reviews and the external audit Recommend improvements to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Monitor federal, state, and local financial requirements and advise management on needed actions Prepare special and ad hoc reports, analyzing account activity and trends Serve as an accounting resource to other departments What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration 3+ years of accounting experience (relevant internships considered) Hands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close Working knowledge of GAAP Strong Excel skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly High attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to meet close deadlines independently An analytical mindset and the initiative to investigate variances through to resolution Clear communication with finance and non-finance teams Discretion with confidential financial information Able to work on-site full-time in Chino, CA Nice to have ERP experience, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Concur experience Accounts receivable or collections experience Experience in manufacturing or consumer products What we offer Competitive hourly pay with overtime eligibility Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off and company holidays Room to grow as the finance team expands
