Engineering Technician

Provide Sustaining Engineering support in the office. Provide support to the engineering team in the R&D Lab. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Complete all safety training, training plan and competency standards as set out in the position within company guidelines. Have a basic knowledge and understanding of NOV quality policies and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace instructions.

Perform and document changes for, but not limited to, drawings, documents, build sheets, test procedures and product information manuals with the use of ECR’s. Assist engineers and shop personnel with testing of equipment in test lab environment. Participate in regular engineering meetings. Ensure employee compliance to all NOV and local HSE requirements.

Show willingness and flexibility to perform other tasks as instructed by the Engineering Manager. Report any unsafe activities or injuries to HSE Manager immediately and immediate manager. Be aware of your responsibilities, accountabilities, tasks, and goals for health, safety, and environmental protection. Work assignments are to be carried out to the highest quality level.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations as required. Mechanical ability necessary to perform tasks. Good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to follow instructions. Self-motivated, self-starter. Must be able to lead a team. Prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines. Able to work closely with fellow employees.

Ability to be organized and follow a systematic method of performing tasks. Valid Driver’s License.

EDUCATION

& EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Certification from an accredited drafting school or associated degree (preferred) 0-1 years industry experience.
