Quality Control Inspector - 1st Shift

Now Hiring: QC Inspector | 1st Shift. Location: Houston, TX | 77051. Pay: $16 - $19/hour. Schedule: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Openwork is currently seeking several dependable QC Inspectors for a well-established pipe, valve, flange company in Houston. What You'll Be Doing: Daily use and care of measuring equipment consisting of calipers, micrometers, tap measure, height gage and NPT threaded gages Daily inspection on inbound and outbound material Perform thorough examinations of all materials and finished products Implement and improve quality control operating procedures Participate in routine visual inspections Maintain a clean and safe work environment Ability to enter data into report What We're Looking For: Bilingual: Spanish and English, preferred (ability to communicate effectively with warehouse personnel in both languages).

Computer proficiency. 6 months+ quality control experience. Moderate math and analytical skills. Verifiable outdoor work experience. Good communication skills. Experience with/Product knowledge with Flanges, Fittings and Pipe is a plus. Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.

Ability to multitask. Self-stater and ability to work independently and in a team environment. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb and move about the facility. Ability to occasionally lift to 50 lbs. Available to work overtime if necessary, including Saturdays. Qualified applicants must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test.

Physical demands and abilities: Experience on Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-up Reach Truck or Picker preferred. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
