L et’s start making lives better—together! 🚀 About the Role: The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in supporting individuals who require assistance with daily living activities to maintain their independence and quality of life. This position involves providing compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive care tailored to the unique needs of each client, particularly those who speak Russian.

The PCA will work closely with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support in a safe and comfortable environment. The role demands strong communication skills in Russian to effectively understand and respond to client needs, as well as to facilitate clear interactions with Russian-speaking clients and their families.

Ultimately, the PCA contributes significantly to the well-being and dignity of clients by delivering personalized care and fostering a trusting relationship.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency in the Russian language, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and their families. High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a certified Personal Care Assistant training program or equivalent experience in caregiving. Ability to pass background checks and meet state-specific health and safety requirements for healthcare workers.

Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability in providing personal care services.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working as a PCA or in a similar caregiving role within the healthcare or social assistance industry. Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and emergency response procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or caregiving documentation software. Additional language skills beyond Russian to support diverse client populations.

Certification in CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while respecting their privacy and preferences. Provide mobility support including transferring, positioning, and ambulation to ensure client safety and comfort. Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary.

Communicate effectively in Russian to understand client needs, provide companionship, and relay important information to healthcare providers and family members. Monitor client health status by observing physical and emotional conditions and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.

Support clients in medication reminders and adherence under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Document care provided and client progress accurately and timely in compliance with organizational policies. Skills: The required Russian language skill is essential for daily communication with clients who are native Russian speakers, enabling the PCA to understand their needs, provide emotional support, and explain care procedures clearly.

Strong interpersonal and active listening skills help build trust and rapport, which are critical in delivering personalized care. Organizational skills are used to manage schedules, document care activities accurately, and coordinate with healthcare teams.

Preferred skills
