The role
This role builds the physical backbone of next-generation internet connectivity. It delivers Fiber-To-The-Prem (FTTP) service from the ground up - splicing fiber with precision, running cable through aerial lines and underground conduits, and installing the equipment that brings high-speed connectivity into homes and businesses. It puts technicians at the center of every customer interaction, troubleshooting real network challenges and reading technical schematics to get the job done right.
- Key ** responsibilities *

Deliver Fiber-To-The-Prem (FTTP) installation, repair, and customer service to residential and business customers.

Provide an exceptional in-home/business experience by being patient, efficient, and knowledgeable of FTTP service, gateways, and WiFi.

Install residential and commercial drops, place Network Interface Devices (NID), extend cabling into the premise, and position network equipment for optimal WiFi performance - ensuring rapid installation of services from the local loop.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair broadband and voice services using software applications and technical expertise.

Install and repair P2MP RF equipment from the source to the customer's premise.

Troubleshoot customer WiFi, LAN, and connection issues.

Install and repair VoIP services to include Residential and Business - UC applications.

Read, understand, and interpret construction prints, splicing schematics, and splicing cut sheets.

Perform fiber splicing end-to-end: preparation, case management, splicing, and testing (installation/repair).

Recognize engineering errors or oversights and exercise sound judgment to resolve them.

Apply construction splicing processes using materials from various manufacturers.

Communicate with vendors and contractors on Outside Plant buildout to ensure high quality and proper handoff.

Support maintenance and deployment of access network components from Network Operations Centers to outdoor cabinets and premise equipment.

Provide technical expertise to the Luminate team on physical application of methods, tools, and concepts of fiber infrastructure.

Address safety concerns with installers and the Plant Operations Manager.

Assist Luminate team in procuring proper tools to perform specialized work.
