Admissions Assistant

Admissions Assistant Napa Post Acute | Napa, CA Full-Time | 10:00 AM Start | Weekend Availability Required Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour Napa Post Acute is seeking a motivated, organized, and proactive Admissions Assistant to join our team! Our Admissions Department is fast-paced and constantly evolving. We're looking for someone who can confidently manage multiple priorities, think independently, anticipate challenges, and find creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and review incoming referrals, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Make appropriate admission decisions using established facility guidelines and recognize when escalation is necessary. Maintain consistent communication with the Admissions Director. Process incoming admissions, including PointClickCare (PCC) entry, room coordination, and required documentation.

Complete admission packets and maintain timely, accurate documentation. Anticipate admission barriers and proactively identify solutions to maximize appropriate placement opportunities. Coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure smooth admissions. Conduct facility tours when the Admissions Director is unavailable.

Independently balance referrals, admissions, and packet completion throughout the day.

What We're Looking For

Exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills - a must! Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and take initiative. Excellent follow-through, accountability, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently without constant direction. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Computer skills are required. Previous skilled nursing or healthcare admissions experience is a plus. Experience with PCC and hospital referral platforms is a plus.
