Linux System Administrator

Belay Technologies has been voted Baltimore Business Journal's (BBJ) Best Places to Work 2026! Belay Technologies is seeking a System Administrator (SA) to join our Intel team. The SA will provide Linux systems administration and operational support for mission-critical environments, including command-line system administration and application, data, and messaging flow management.

Responsibilities

Support implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and daily operations of IT systems. Provide Tier I and Tier II problem identification, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution. Configure and manage Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems. Install and load operating system software and troubleshoot system issues. Monitor systems and resolve problems involving client/server, storage, network, mobile, and other IT devices.

Manage system configuration, resource utilization, capacity analysis, reliability, and performance. Support application, data, and messaging flows. Provide technical support and status updates to agency management and internal customers. Troubleshoot dispatch system and hardware problems through resolution. Provide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated tickets.

Qualifications

5 years of experience with no degree required SA2: 10 years of experience with no degree required SIGINT and linux experience Five years of experience supporting applications in a SIGINT environment desired Additional Desired Skills Three years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and administering messaging services such as JMS, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Artemis, or Kafka.

IAT Level I or applicable IA baseline certification in Linux, UNIX, Windows, or Cisco OS.
