Business Office Manager ~ Full Time

Position Summary

The Business Office Manager directs the overall administrative, billing, accounting, and payroll functions of the Business Office in accordance with all applicable laws, and regulations. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent experience Two (2) years of office management experience preferred One (1) year in post acute care or other geriatric related field preferred Specific Job Requirements Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the business office functions in the post acute care facility Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department Must perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.

Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures Displays integrity and professionalism Essential Functions Effectively manage and oversee bookkeeping functions including: posting payments and charges to patient ledgers, balance daily receipts, collect delinquent accounts, and collections Experience with multiple payer sources (Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans, Hospice, and Private Insurances) Manage and oversee patient accounts Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients Assist in the evacuation of patients Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours Read, write, speak, and understand the English language Benefits Offered: Health/Vision/Dental/Flex Spending account options (Full-time) PTO (Full-time) 401K full-time) Life Insurance (full-time) Adara Living is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
