Bookkeeper

Agape Behavioral Center, A top workplace three years running, is currently seeking a Part -Time Bookkeeper for our Behavioral Healthcare facilities in South Florida! The Part-Time Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization.

This position will create and maintain processes with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and other bookkeeping duties to ensure the financial health and compliance of the organization. Schedule/Location: Part-Time 20hrs/week, Hybrid role (must be available to meet in person twice a month) Specific Areas of Responsibility: Record and maintain all financial transactions in the accounting system accurately and timely.

Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments. Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances as needed. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation. Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies or concerns to leadership.

Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve any variances. Maintain organized financial records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with annual audits, tax preparation, and compliance-related requests. Support budgeting and financial planning activities as needed. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee information.

Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience required. Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or medical billing environments is a plus.
