• Dallas, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Professional Services, Position Summary The Behavioral Health Clinician will provide individual therapy services to clients with extensive trauma history, and families. The role of a Behavioral Health Clinician at JFS is to provide high quality clinical services consistent with the agency mission and professional standard practices. The Behavioral Health Clinician will utilize evidence based therapeutic skills to address the client’s presenting issues and promote healing and growth. The Behavioral Health Clinician must uphold the agency’s mission and values and be a loyal ambassador of the agency.

What You'll Do

Provides counseling as appropriate to the client who presents with extensive trauma. Work with couples and families as needed. Maintains an active caseload Collaborate with the JFS staff to address the clients’ needs and make appropriate referrals. Provides services that are of the highest standard and that are culturally relevant to the clients served Coordinates concrete services as part of the treatment plan Organizes and facilitates groups that focus on recovery from traumatic experiences.

Advocates on behalf of clients, when appropriate Serves on JFS committees and as an agency representative to appropriate community groups as assigned Serves as consultant/supervisor to agency staff/student in areas of professional expertise as assigned Complete all administrative tasks including but not limited to maintaining client records in an up to date, complete, clear and concise manner.

Experience in crises intervention, advocacy, family and extensive therapeutic process.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited master's level school with course work emphasizing clinical training. LCSW, LPC, PhD, LMFT Ability to convey empathy and concern for individuals and their families Ability to be flexible to handle the versatility of the position and its periodic crises Must successfully pass credentialing process which includes verification of licenses and education, screening and possible vaccination for communicable diseases like Hepatitis B and TB What We Offer JFS offers excellent benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, generous paid vacation days, paid parental leave and a 403B match.
