PARAMEDIC

SUMMARY: Our Paramedics provide advanced life support and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, transport services, and other services.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Must be Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certified/licensed in Indiana
• No criminal record
• High school diploma or GED
• ACLS Certification (preferred not required)
• BCLS Certification (preferred not required)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

• Must maintain valid, current (State) Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification..
• Must maintain BCLS and ACLS certifications (preferred not required)
• Current and valid state Driver's License
• BLS CPR certification
• RSI competency (preferred not required)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company equipment.
• Basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons.
• Providing basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures
• Prepares inventories and stocks supplies and inspects equipment for proper operation.
• Must be able to safely lift, transfer and maneuver patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences and other locations.
• Respond to emergency calls, assess patient condition and make critical care decisions quickly
• Complete any and all paperwork
• Follow proper protocol and maintain professional appearance at all times'
