Custodian I (Substitute)

Job Summary

THIS POSITION IS DUAL CERTIFICATION AND IS OPEN TO BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CANDIDATES SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS ARE ON CALL / AS NEEDED Hours: On Call, 4 to 8 Hours/Day (Monday-Friday 4:30A-1:00P, 6:00A-2:30P, 2:00P-8:00P, 2:00-10:30P, 3:00P-11:30P, or 4:00P-7:30P) Eligibility Lists: One list will be created from Open Competitive and Promotional candidates BASIC FUNCTION: Under direction of an assigned supervisor, maintain assigned classrooms, buildings, offices and facilities in a clean and orderly condition according to clearly defined schedules and established procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and education needed to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed above. EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: one year of custodian experience. Completion of a Janitorial/Custodian course of at least 160 hours of instruction at an accredited Adult or ROP institution or its equivalent may be substituted for one year of custodian experience.
