GIS Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GIS Architect based in India. The GIS Architect will lead the design and development of enterprise-grade geographic information systems (GIS) and spatial data platforms. In this role, you will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions for managing, processing, and visualizing complex geospatial data.

You will leverage PostgreSQL and PostGIS to build robust spatial databases, optimize queries, and implement efficient data models for multiple customers or business units. The position involves integrating diverse GIS data sources, developing transformation workflows, and connecting spatial databases with APIs, web-based mapping tools, and enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure spatial data accuracy, interoperability, and reliable system performance. Your expertise will help shape modern geospatial solutions that support data-driven decision-making across complex operational environments. This full-time or contract opportunity offers location flexibility within India, with a UK-aligned working schedule of 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
