Job Description: Thunder Care and Rehab LPN Opening Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Weekend Doubles (Baylor Program) Pay Rate: $32.50/hour Setting: Long-Term Care / Nursing Home Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team under a Weekend Baylor Program.
This role involves working double shifts on weekends while receiving full-time pay and benefits. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Schedule: Weekend doubles (e.g., two 16-hour shifts: Saturday and Sunday) Baylor program eligibility (paid for full-time hours for weekend commitment) Key Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health status Provide direct nursing care, including wound care and assistance with daily living activities Document care accurately and timely in medical records Communicate effectively with physicians, RNs, CNAs, residents, and families Respond promptly to changes in residents’ conditions or emergencies Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and facility policies Qualifications: Current and active LPN license (state-specific) Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work long shifts and handle physically demanding tasks Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Benefits (Baylor Program): Full-time pay for weekend-only schedule Competitive hourly rate ($32.
