Visalia Maintenance Shop Supervisor - Fleet Ready, Roads Safe!

In this role, you’ll ensure that our trucks and equipment are safe, reliable, and ready to keep our community moving. What You’ll Do Lead the Shop: Supervise and assign daily work to technicians, ensuring timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance. Keep Equipment Safe & Reliable: Oversee inspections, emergency repairs, and maintenance of Class 6-8 trucks and other heavy-duty equipment. Train & Develop: Provide hands-on guidance, mentoring, and ongoing skills development for your team.

Stay Compliant: Ensure work meets DOT, CHP, OSHA, and Cal/OSHA standards, maintaining accurate records and safety protocols. Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate repair timelines and operational updates to fleet management and operations teams. Manage Inventory & Supplies: Maintain parts inventory, track supplies, and coordinate vendor orders.

Promote a Positive Culture: Foster teamwork, uphold company values, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop. What You’ll Bring Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology or related field preferred. Experience: 3+ years in heavy-duty truck or equipment maintenance 2+ year in a supervisory or lead technician role Experience with Class 6-8 vehicles preferred Skills: Proficiency with maintenance software (e.
