Accounting Assistant

On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturing company in Evia, Greece, we are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be based in Nea Artaki, Chalkida , and should be a passionate, self-motivated professional with strong organizational and analytical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves supporting and assisting with all financial and accounting procedures within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in the daily management of accounting functions, including invoice preparation, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of accurate financial records. Managing communication and coordination with clients, business partners and warehouse operations. Manage vendor invoices, ensuring prompt payment processing while fostering positive relationships with suppliers.

Liaising with external partners (banks, accountants, auditors). Performing administrative tasks as needed in the department (communication with public authorities and service providers, drafting of agreements, management of correspondence, monitoring and ordering of office supplies).

Requirements

BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field. Proven work experience as an Accounting Assistant for at least 1–3 years in logistics and warehouse departments. Basic knowledge of accounting and the Greek tax framework. Hands-on experience with MS Excel skills. Good English for communication is a plus. Very good organization skills and attention to detail.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
