The Personnel Security Assistant will work with other Government Agencies, Contractors, and Federal Employees to support initial investigations and reinvestigations for the federal background investigation process. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must undergo and pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

Determine the appropriate level of initial investigation and reinvestigation depending on the position's designation level Conduct preliminary record checks of the Office of Personnel Management's Central Verification System (CVS) to determine if a current reciprocal investigation meets position designation requirements Invite the individual into NBIS e.

App (electronic application) and assist with e. App access issues Determine if additional inquiries are necessary to resolve discrepant, negative or contradictory information Fingerprint applicants and employees, conduct National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/National Law Enforcement. Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries; conduct credit checks : Required Qualifications: H.

S. Diploma Minimum of three (3) years of specialized experience as a personnel security assistant Minimum of three (3) years of experience with initiation and review of NBIS e. App (electronic application) Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS) inquiries and performing credit checks.
