IT Support Specialist

Device & Systems Management: Administer and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Kandji, Jamf, Microsoft Intune). Configure and manage endpoint security, software updates, application deployment, and encryption protocols. Maintain functionality and security of laptops, mobile devices, and tablets. IT Asset Tracking: Maintain and update the IT asset register, including laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and software licenses.

Track inventory lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning. Conduct routine audits of IT hardware and software assets. Software Deployment & Monitoring: Deploy and manage software applications across all systems, ensuring version consistency. Monitor system performance and proactively address issues using relevant tools (e.

g., Nagios, Datadog, Google Admin). Ensure timely updates, patches, and upgrades across devices and servers. Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, including access control, firewalls, antivirus, and threat detection. Support company-wide initiatives on data privacy (NDPR compliance) and internal data protection policies.

Respond to and document security breaches or incidents. User Support & Onboarding: Provide Tier 1 support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Set up user accounts and devices and train new employees on company tools and best practices. Support remote troubleshooting and escalate complex issues when needed.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, IT policies, and troubleshooting logs. Prepare monthly reports on asset usage, system uptime, and IT incidents. Support the procurement process by advising on technology needs and vendor options.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related field 2-4 years of experience in IT Support, help desk or technical support role Strong knowledge of Windows or macOS operating systems Familiarity with networking concepts
