Environmental Services Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the Housekeeping department, which includes housekeeping, laundry, and work order processing to create and maintain a clean and safe environment for the health, comfort and well-being of residents, visitors and staff within the ministry. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs audits and inspections of all areas of the ministry, for cleanliness, safety and quality performance issues.

Maintains documentation for regulatory agency requirements. Promotes and supports team standards of quality customer service. Promotes continuous quality improvement in operations and job performance. Oversees work order process including prioritizing and tracking completion. Responsible for special housekeeping requests from residents, staff and management.

Ensures chemical and waste are handled in accordance with department procedures, manufacturer directions and general safety practices. Assumes responsibility for creating and maintaining a property free from damage, hazards, debris, and clutter. Establishes and monitors procedures and maintains documentation for compliance regarding state and federal regulations.

Maintains ministry equipment in safe, working condition. May perform other duties as assigned or requested. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure personal and staff compliance with infection control, personal protection equipment, blood borne pathogens, hazardous material handling, fire safety, OSHA and other safety programs.

Coach and provide career development to staff. Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels. Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews. Responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments, employee training, time off, breaks and overtime assignments. Schedule and conduct department meetings.
