Your Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM3 Qualifications Indiana EFDA certificate Indiana Radiographers license active Current BLS/CPR certification What You’ll Do as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Perform expanded clinical duties allowed by state regulations, such as placing restorations, polishing, applying sealants and fluoride, taking impressions, coronal polishing, and packing/retrieving cord.

Assist the dentist during a full range of restorative, prosthodontic, and surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for each patient and ensure efficient room turnover. Take high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions/scans (traditional or digital). Fabricate temporary crowns, bridges, and provisional restorations while checking bite, margins and contacts Performing caries susceptibility testing, Mix and prepare dental materials (cements, bonding agents, composites, impression materials).

Record and update patient medical histories and treatment plans in dental software. Anticipate the dentist’s needs and provide instruments and materials during procedures. Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene.
