Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Location: Ascent Behavioral Hospital – Millcreek, UT Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN FLSA Status: Non-Exempt At Ascent Behavioral Hospital, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. We are looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to join our interdisciplinary team in a supportive and safe environment where safety, integrity, respect, and excellence are our highest standards.

The Role As an RN, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, supporting individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and therapists to ensure the delivery of safe and effective psychiatric services. You will be a cornerstone of our patient-centered care model, requiring clinical expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities Include

Clinical Care: Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor progress. Medical Tasks: Administer medications, perform phlebotomy as needed, and conduct skin checks and nutrition reviews. Crisis Management: Participate in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care practices. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records within the electronic medical record (EMR).

Family Engagement: Communicate health and treatment updates effectively with parents and guardians. Supervision: Oversee medication administration systems and train staff on best practices for hygiene and infection control.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Current, valid RN licensure in the state of Utah. Active CPR and First-Aid certification. Ability to pass a federal background check. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
