Job description

Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer Key responsibilities: Client r elationship m anagement: Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key retail clients, addressing their complex banking needs through both digital and face-to-face interactions. Deliver expert, personalized advice and strategic support, leveraging advanced digital tools to drive superior client engagement and satisfaction.

Product and service offering: Effectively communicate and showcase the bank’s products and services, ensuring clients understand their tailored value and benefits. Guide clients through both online and offline banking platforms, ensuring a cohesive and exceptional experience across all touchpoints. Lending solutions: Oversee the evaluation of creditworthiness for clients by analyzing financial positions and relevant documents .

Advisory and p ortfolio m anagement: Advise the Managing Board, Credit Committee, and Risk Manager on key aspects of the Credit Portfolio, including loan loss provisions and ECL. Ensure accurate documentation and efficient credit facility management in collaboration with the Credit Documentation Department. Portfolio m anagement: Manage a substantial portfolio of high-value retail clients, ensuring systematic follow-ups and proactive engagement to deepen and enhance client relationships.

Conduct thorough analysis and monitoring of portfolio performance to effectively manage risk and uncover strategic growth opportunities. Sales and b usiness d evelopment: Identify and seize new sales opportunities through a combination of digital marketing strategies and traditional outreach methods. Propel cross-selling efforts for banking products and services to existing clients, leveraging data-driven insights to create targeted recommendations and meet revenue goals.

Departmental planning: Develop and implement an annual plan for the department, outlining the objectives and strategies for timely realization, while considering the implications for the internal organization. Credit assessment and risk management: Oversee the evaluation and processing of complex credit applications using advanced digital tools to ensure comprehensive risk assessment and adherence to credit policies.

Implement stringent risk management practices and employ real-time analytics to maintain and enhance portfolio quality. Digital e ngagement: Leverage the bank’s digital platforms to elevate client interactions, providing support via online chat, video calls, and digital documentation. Remain abreast of the latest trends in digital banking to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

Data a nalysis and r eporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of client data to identify trends, optimize service delivery, and support strategic sales initiatives. Develop and present detailed reports on portfolio performance and client engagement metrics to senior management, facilitating informed decision-making. Strategic planning and budgeting: Responsible for drafting the annual department plan, managing the associated budget, and creating a comprehensive plan that details how objectives will be efficiently achieved, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall goals.

Training and development: Collaborate with the People & Culture department to design and implement training programs that enhance team skills and performance. Mentor staff, create training materials, and conduct workshops to support high service standards and compliance, while focusing on continuous improvement and team growth.

Perform other duties as assigned : Additional responsibilities may be required as needed, ensuring flexibility in addressing evolving business needs and supporting the overall success of the team and clients.

Requirements

Educational b ackground: B achelor’s degree in a relevant field such as B usiness A dministration. Advanced certifications or a master’s degree are highly desirable. Experience: 7-10 years of experience, including a strong background in direct sales. Experience in a managerial or senior role is preferred. Sales expertise : Demonstrated experience in managing and driving sales for Retail banking products and services.

Proven a bility to develop sales strategies to enhance performance and achieve revenue goals. Regulatory knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices to ensure adherence and proactively address potential issues. Banking software: Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills: Analytical thinking: Ability to analyze processes , identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions. Leadership and team management: Proven ability to lead teams and work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated leadership in driving team performance and operational improvements.

Effective communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and interacting with stakeholders. Problem solving: Ability to address and resolve issues and compliance challenges effectively. Organizational and time management skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in regulations, procedures, and organizational priorities. Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in documentation and reporting to ensure compliance and quality. Ethics and integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to act with integrity in all situations. Financial acumen : Basic understanding of financial principles and practices.
