Advance readiness with ASRC Federal by leading a mission‑critical Defense logistics program supporting DLA Aviation. As the Site Project Manager for Chemical Management Services (CMS), you will ensure safe, compliant, and uninterrupted delivery of hazardous materials vital to aircraft maintenance operations across multiple locations.
ASRC Federal’s Defense organization provides end‑to‑end chemical management, logistics integration, and mission sustainment support to key DoW customers. This program delivers hazardous material demand forecasting, procurement, warehousing, distribution, environmental compliance, and customer support for DoW aviation maintenance locations.
You’ll lead a high‑impact team that keeps maintenance operations supplied and mission‑ready.
Key Responsibilities
Manage cost control, schedule, risk, logistics analysis, and apply commercial best practices to execute a successful program that meets/exceeds customer driven performance requirements. Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Uses Business Intelligence tools, Warehouse Management Systems, Inventory Management Systems, and Hazardous Materials Inventory and Environmental Management Applications. Integrate and coordinate all activities needed to execute Inventory Control that includes all aspects of warehousing. Understand and apply Federal, State, and local regulations.
Develop, monitor, and report internal metrics, and write and execute plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical and/or administrative areas. Identify opportunities to expand program scope, enhance services, and develop new Defense logistics capabilities.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years experience managing the resources and personnel of programs in a Department of War environment. Extensive knowledge and hands on expertise using an Inventory Management System, Warehouse Management System, Hazardous Materials Inventory and Environmental Management Applications (ideally DLA’s Hazardous Materials Management System).
Experience implementing processes for proper storage and handling of HM. Critical thinking skills used to conduct root cause analysis and developing corrective actions. Excellent communication skills needed, with the ability to build relationships with all levels of customer leadership. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated leadership within DLA, DoW, or Defense logistics programs.
Experience implementing or managing QMS / ISO 9001 quality frameworks. Proficiency with WMS/IMS and hazardous material inventory systems; proficiency with BI tools and reporting platforms. Experience developing SOPs, metrics, and process improvement initiatives. Ability to operate effectively in a mission‑driven, fast‑paced Defense logistics environment.
