• MECHANICSBURG, PA, Position Type: Internship, Salary Range: $21.65Hourly, Job Summary: Urban is growing and seeking qualified college students to work as part of our Construction Services Team on complex highway, bridge, facility, and aviation projects throughout the greater Harrisburg and Allentown areas. This is an excellent opportunity for students working on a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field to develop their skills and gain valuable experience in construction inspection and construction management.

Job Responsibilities

On-site performance monitoring of highway, bridge, aviation, and facility projects and documenting that they are being constructed in conformance with the plans and specifications. Provide direct support to the Site Supervisor, Construction Manager, or Construction Engineer. Assist with project submissions, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Construction Services Team. Job Requirements: Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related college program. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent oral, written, and communication and organizational skills. Previous experience in design, inspection, or construction management of heavy highway/bridge/facilities/airport projects is a plus.
