This is an entrepreneurial, high-influence position. You will not just be applying lab planning best practices; you will be the macro-level master planner shaping multi-million dollar capital assets—ranging from 50-acre life science campuses to secure aerospace facilities and high-hazard chemical R&D environments. Working in partnership with our Science + Technology Market Leader, you will drive business development, lead client visioning workshops, and develop future-tech environments where early-stage R&D scales into mission-critical commercial production.

- High-Precision Facility Specialist : Serve as the qualified subject-matter expert on multidisciplinary facility planning and design teams. Translate complex scientific requirements, functional workflows, and high-hazard constraints into safe, highly functional building programs.
- Workflow & Ecosystem Optimization : Leverage Lean and Six Sigma mindsets to design environments around evolving science and technology—integrating automation, instrumentation, material throughput modeling, and human experience into an optimized spatial layout.
- Regulatory Compliance : Provide bulletproof guidance on complex regulatory frameworks, including cGMP validation, NIH design guidelines, OSHA, ISO standards, and high-hazard NFPA Control Area / Maximum Allowable Quantity (MAQ) calculations.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field. Experience: 10–15 years of related experience in R&D laboratory operations, advanced manufacturing engineering, or specialized planning within an AEC firm. Must include at least 7 years of project management or team leadership experience.
Cross-Sector Technical Fluency: Proven experience navigating the rigorous technical criteria of physical/chemical sciences, biologics, containment, materials management, and automated production spaces. Travel: Up to 50% Commanding Presence: Exceptional written, verbal, and graphic communication skills. You must be comfortable leading interactive programming workshops and delivering compelling presentations to client leaders and at industry conferences.
Mindset : A mentor-coach who thrives in an integrated, sustainable, and collaborative culture, with a commitment to developing long-term relationships and willingness to travel to support project delivery and business development pursuits. Why Join Us? This role is built for a difference-maker.
