Systems Testing/QA Specialist – Senior

Role Summary

The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and managing software testing activities for enterprise-level applications. The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and testing leads to ensure application quality, system reliability, and compliance with business requirements.

The role requires strong experience in software QA testing, particularly with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications , Oracle Siebel CRM, defect management, and test automation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop testing strategies, test plans, test scripts, and test cases. Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Test enterprise applications in GUI and non-GUI environments. Perform testing of COTS applications. Identify, document, track, and manage software defects. Use defect management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts. Perform API, performance, stress, and load testing. Validate backend data using SQL queries. Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve defects. Participate in Agile ceremonies and project meetings. Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics.

Ensure compliance with AODA accessibility requirements. Support data migration, data validation, and system integration testing.

Requirements

Software Testing Experience Candidates should demonstrate experience in: Functional Testing Integration Testing System Testing Regression Testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Performance Testing Load and Stress Testing API Testing Backend / Database Testing Test Automation COTS Application Testing Data Migration Testing Defect Management Public Sector Experience Preferred experience Experience working with Ontario Public Sector organizations is beneficial.

Relevant experience includes: Oracle Siebel Public Sector CRM. Siebel Contracts and Lead Management. Partner Management and Public Sector Partner Portal. Campaign Management and Marketing modules. Resource Manager. Public Sector eService. Case Management applications. Soft Skills – Evaluation Weightage Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and present new ideas. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have: 8–10+ years of experience in Software QA Testing.

At least 5 years of experience testing COTS applications. Strong Oracle Siebel CRM testing experience. Experience with Siebel Test Automation. Adobe AEM testing experience. Hands-on experience with Jira and Azure DevOps. Strong test case development and execution skills. Experience with SQL and backend validation. Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.

Ontario Public Sector experience, preferably with Siebel Public Sector CRM.
