About the Job
Based at Mandarin Oriental, Geneva , within the Culinary Department, the Commis de Cuisine assists in the preparation, production, and presentation of dishes for Ottolenghi. The Commis de Cuisine reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine . As Commis de Cuisine , you will be responsible for: Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with Mandarin Oriental standards.
Ensuring all mise en place is ready for service. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas. Supporting senior chefs in day-to-day operations and learning new culinary techniques. Complying with all hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards. As Commis de Cuisine we expect from you: A passion for culinary arts and attention to detail.
Previous kitchen experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred. Team spirit, curiosity, and a desire to learn and grow. Good communication skills and a flexible attitude. A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport. Our Commitment to You
