Lead Python Engineer (GitHub Enterprise Administration)

We are looking for a Lead Python Engineer to own GitHub Enterprise administration, governance, and reporting across an organization-wide setup. You will build Python automation around GitHub data, support audit requests, and improve developer workflows while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

Administer GitHub Enterprise organizations, teams, repositories, and access controls Define and enforce Git governance, workflows, and repository best practices Manage GitHub Copilot models and licenses including configuration, governance, and budgeting Build Python scripts to extract, process, and maintain GitHub operational data Implement reporting pipelines using Big.

Query and enable visualization for stakeholders Coordinate audit support by providing evidence, documentation, and timely responses Collaborate with platform and engineering teams to improve CI/CD integrations and developer experience Support on-call rotation and troubleshoot urgent GitHub Enterprise issues as needed Requirements 5+ years of Python experience building operational automation 5+ years of experience administering GitHub Enterprise at scale Strong leadership skills to drive governance and best practices across teams Proven project ownership skills for delivering reliable reporting and automation Expert GitHub API skills for data extraction and workflow automation Strong Git operations skills including branching strategies and access controls Clear communication skills for cross-team coordination and audit support Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2) Nice to have Google Cloud Platform experience supporting data and platform integrations Big.
