Learn more: https://waagnerbiro-bridgeservices.com/ We are seeking a highly experienced Estimator specializing exclusively in new bridge construction projects in the UAE. The role is strictly focused on pre-contract estimation and tendering for upcoming bridge works, including flyovers, interchanges, and elevated structures.
Scope of Work
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new bridge construction projects
- Review and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, and tender documents specific to bridge works
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all bridge components : a) Foundations (piles, pile caps) b) Substructure (piers, abutments) c) Superstructure (deck slabs, girders, post-tensioned elements)
- Develop comprehensive rate analysis for bridge-specific activities, including:
- Precast segmental construction
- Launching girder operations
- Specialized formwork and temporary works
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, and procurement teams to obtain accurate inputs for pricing
- Evaluate and finalize subcontractor and supplier quotations for specialized bridge works
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions in line with client requirements
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization exercises during tender stage
- Support in tender clarifications, negotiations, and bid finalization
- Minimum 7+ years of UAE experience specifically in estimation of bridge construction projects
- Proven experience with main contractors executing bridge / highway infrastructure projects
- Strong expertise in: a) Bridge construction methodologies (cast-in-situ, precast, segmental, post-tensioning) b) Temporary works and specialized construction equipment c) Proficiency in Candy software (mandatory)
- Strong command of BOQ preparation, rate build-ups, and tendering procedures
- Familiarity with UAE authority standards (RTA, DOT, ADM, etc.)
