Media Services Assistant and Noon Hour Paraprofessional

POSTING # 3636 WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. Noon Hour Paraprofessional 2.75 hours per day (11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.) Media Services Assistant 1.5 hours per day (1:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.), JOB DUTIES: Media Services Assistant -Assist students and staff in using the school library media center resources and facilities �Support students in the school library media center �Check materials in and out to patrons �Laminate documents -Process and circulate materials �Process books, equipment and other materials �Help maintain a current print collection �Recommend books and materials to be purchased �Determine outdated materials �Mend and repair books -Is visible, accessible, helpful and courteous to students, staff and visitors -Help maintain a clean, organized and properly shelved media center -Assist with: �scheduling library use for teachers �displays and promotion of literature �yearly inventory of the library collection �other clerical duties as assigned Noon Hour Paraprofessional Supervising students in the lunchroom and on the playground during lunch shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must help create and support a welcoming environment of the media center. Candidate must have: excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work with students and staff in a positive manner in a fast-paced environment, an understanding of record keeping for media center accounts, the ability to multitask, and knowledge of PC and Mac devices, with the ability to use programs on each platform effectively.

Be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. SALARY and BENEFITS: Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees Agreement .

• Noon Hour Paraprofessional: Level V from $20.58 up to $22.91 per hour
• Media Services Assistant: Level AA2 from $21.82 up to $24.09 per hour Benefits based on full-time employment and may be pro-rated for part-time positions.
