Float Certified Medical Assistant - Ambulatory Clinics - Full Time - 1st Shift

Job Summary

Under supervision of Center Manager will work independently to perform office responsibilities related to reception, registration and checkout of patients. Under supervision of physician/nurse practitioner, physician assistant, provides quality nursing care for assigned patients. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills.

Often exposed to unpleasant odors, sights and sounds. Long periods in a stationary position and moving around the unit are required. Risks exposure to disease, infection, physical strain and assault. Risks exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation and antineoplastic agents. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred one (1) year CMA experience in clinical setting with previous work history considered.

Education

Graduate of an accredited CMA training program. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations Current CMA Certificate in the State of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment). Preferred one (1) year CMA experience in clinical setting with previous work history considered.
