Associate General Counsel

Job Description EZ-ERC is seeking an attorney to research COVID executive orders and prepare legal opinions and write-ups related to the Employee Retention Credit (“ERC”). This position reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer, and you will play a key role in support of our Implementation Team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of legal research and writing experience.

The candidate should be well organized and approach each issue with a critical thinking mindset.

About the Role

1. Researching executive orders on a county, state and national level;
2. Reviewing legal opinions;
3. Writing ERC eligibility opinions;
4. COVID Orders and ERC knowledge is a plus;
5. Should be able to communicate effectively with clients and the internal team;
6. Should have the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment; and
7. Will p rovide management with information vital to the ERC decision-making process.

About You

1. Strong research, writing, and communication skills along with attention to detail;
2. Extensive computer and Microsoft office skills; and
3. Experience in professional services is strongly preferred.
