Job Details Job Type Full-Time ABA Therapist Rotational Support Staff Job Hours Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm Job Location Manhattan, NY Job Compensation $45-$50k per yr based on education, experience, and certifications Your Impact Here at MBC Implement ABA-based programs using DTT, Learn Unit, Task Analysis, probe data, and NET teaching methods Collect program and behavior data which can include but are not limited to aggression, SIB, property destruction, elopement, stereotypy Implement research-based interventions to decrease interfering behaviors and teach replacement skills Engage and use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes.

This may mean physically intervening after being trained thoroughly, to help deescalate children when they become a danger to themselves or others. Prepare and organize teaching materials and teaching settings prior to each session Work collaboratively with a team of ABA therapists, BCBAs, and related service providers to implement student-specific strategies and protocols Report issues or challenges to BCBA Case Manager or Program Supervisor Show a professional and calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with students, staff, parents, and visitors Must be capable of safely and effectively performing these duties on students of varying heights Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements H.

S. Diploma; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Experience with children with Autism or PDD population using the ABA model This position requires flexibility and at times you may be assigned to one team, or at any point in the year float across multiple teams to assist the center Must be able to work independently and maintain a professional yet friendly demeanor when working in the home and clinic.
